New team aims to target insolvency in Europe
Howes Percival LLP has restructured its Norwich based Insolvency
Department in a drive to expand the law firm’s base of non-contentious insolvency work and to target new clients across the UK and Europe.

Building on the department’s outstanding reputation as a leading player in the field of contentious insolvency, a new team of six insolvency specialists, led by Partner, Nicholas Gordon, will promote the firm’s full service offering. The Department already acts for a large number of insolvency practitioners across the Eastern and Central regions, London and the South East. The team will now also look to develop its client base to include clients from key regions across the North of England and to secure cross border insolvency work.

Ranked in the top tier by Chambers for insolvency, Howes Percival is highly regarded for its experience and rate of success with complex or specialist cases and lives up to its objective to offer commercial and practical solutions to clients across the complete spectrum of insolvency work. Last year, it was a finalist for The Lawyer magazine’s ‘Litigation Team of the Year Award’.

Howes Percival LLP’s Nicholas Gordon, Partner and Head of Commercial Litigation, commented, “To date, our focus has very much been on contentious insolvency, in which we have built-up an excellent reputation as innovators and market leaders. With the recent upturn in contentious insolvency cases we have expanded our department and have bolstered our profile in this area. It will remain the core of our insolvency practice.

“The restructure was undertaken, however, to raise the profile of our full range of insolvency services and in particular to boost our presence in non-contentious insolvency. We have an established client base in London, the East, South East and Central regions, as part of our re-focus we will be looking to expand our client base in the North of England. We are also now actively targeting foreign creditors, particularly banks, to advise them on English insolvency law.”

Part of the expanded service from Howes Percival will include the ability to deliver tailored training for companies. Anyone interested in finding out more should email insolvency@howespercival.com for further details.
