Regional Law Firm of the Year recruits specialist senior private client lawyer
Award winning commercial firm Howes Percival has appointed Tim Addinell as head of its Private Client department.
Tim, a senior solicitor and member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) has joined Howes Percival to provide advice to existing commercial clients.
His view is that “with the recent Budget changes bringing significant alterations to the rules affecting wills and trusts, successful businessmen now need more than ever to have proactive advice on their personal legal business as well. There is little point in building a successful enterprise and increasing your wealth, only to see capital taxes (and Inheritance tax in particular) substantially erode the value of your estate.”
Commercial Partner and head of Howes Percival's Northampton office Gerald Couldrake commented “we have searched long and hard to find the right lawyer to work with James Morris and his specialist tax team. Tim comes highly recommended in this year’s Legal 500 survey and we are confident that we have found the right man to further improve the level of service we offer. We look forward to introducing him to our clients through the East Midlands region (and beyond) via our Northampton, Milton Keynes and Leicester offices.”
Tim’s expertise includes will drafting, tax and estate planning, the creation and administration of trusts, dealing with unexpected mental or physical incapacity, and the administration of estates.
