In light of the unprecedented situation we are all facing as a result of COVID-19, I wanted to reassure you of Howes Percival's continued support during this time.
We recognise that, as your legal adviser, it is important that we can continue to deliver our services as developments unfold. As well as taking necessary measures to help protect our clients and people, we have a robust continuity plan which enables us to provide you with an uninterrupted service.
In line with the Government's latest guidance on stopping non-essential contact with others, we have taken the decision to close our offices to visitors and staff. We have ensured that all of our lawyers have the capability to work from home and so do not expect any disruption to our service to you. Any calls made to our office reception will be transferred to the relevant person and any messages will be relayed to them.
You will still be able to contact our lawyers by email, on their mobile numbers or through their direct landlines (which will be automatically forwarded to mobile numbers) and any voicemails will be forwarded automatically. A directory of our lawyers and their contact details is available here. For general enquiries, please visit: howespercival.com/contact/
Should you have any written correspondence with us, we ask that you please maximise the use of email and avoid post to help our colleagues minimise contact with others. Any post that is sent to one of our offices will be scanned and emailed to the intended recipient.
We will no longer be holding meetings in our offices but all of our lawyers have access to Zoom – a remote conferencing service which allows us to conduct meetings with you online. We will send you an invitation to the meeting and you can attend using your computer or smart phone. You do not need to have any special video conferencing facilities to do this. Should you have an equivalent videoconferencing service that you would prefer to use for any meetings you have with us, please let us know so we can accommodate this where possible. If you had planned to visit one of our offices, please make alternative arrangements with your Howes Percival contact, either to move the meeting to a virtual platform or to postpone it.
We are able to move money and handle completions in the usual way.
We are keen to help our clients mitigate the effects of the outbreak on their business and lives as much as possible and we will be publishing regular insights on our website. To receive a regular round-up of these updates directly to your inbox, please sign up to our newsletter here.
Stay safe and, should you have any concerns or other queries, please do not hesitate to contact us via your normal contact at Howes Percival.
