Chat GPT, a highly-sophisticated artificial intelligence ‘chatbot’, has generated a lot of attention in recent months after more than one million people signed up to explore its advanced natural language processing capabilities within a few days of its launch. If used effectively, it is claimed that Chat GPT (and other similar AI) could improve customer engagement, enhance marketing efforts, and reduce the costs of customer service processes. It is not without controversy, due to concerns about risks related to confidentiality, data protection, misinformation and bias.

• explore ideas as to how Chat GPT / AI could be effectively integrated to improve business strategy and efficiency; and
