Individual rankings jump by almost a quarter as fast-growing firm heads for £50m turnover

A record 59 Howes Percival lawyers have been individually recognised in The Legal 500 2027, up from 48 last year.

The firm is ranked Tier 1 in 13 practice areas and recommended in 21 overall across its offices in Cambridge, Leicester, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Norwich and Oxford.

Those recognised include 35 Leading Individuals, 14 Next Generation Partners and nine Hall of Fame lawyers. The guide's rankings are based on independent research and client feedback.

The recognition caps a strong run for the firm. Turnover grew 12% in the year to 31 March 2026, its fifth consecutive double-digit rise. Turnover has doubled over that period, and the firm expects to pass £50 million this year. It has added 50 partners in five years, recruiting 22 from other firms and promoting 28 internally and was named the UK's #1 law firm to work for by Best Companies.
