Max is a commercial contract lawyer specialising in the IT, technology, life sciences and academic sectors.
He supports clients from fast-moving, bootstrapping start-ups to multinationals and Russell Group universities. He frequently works as an extension of his clients’ in-house teams and is adept at tailoring his approach to each client’s specific business objectives and culture.
His recent work runs the gamut from multi-£million procurement and outsourcing transactions (IT solutions, catering services, and in one case the complete suite of medical equipment for a new private clinic), to technology and software licensing, to contracts for museum exhibitions, celebrity red carpet appearances and sponsorship. He has specific experience in defence and aerospace contracting, selling to UK, EU and US buyers. Max also advises regularly on data protection and export control issues.
Before joining Howes Percival, Max spent half his career in private practice and the other half running his own legal consultancy providing specialist legal services to clients in and around Oxford. He recently spent a year in-house with a longstanding client.
