Howes Percival has acted for the shareholders of lamb processor, Randall Parker Foods on its sale to meat supplier, Pilgrim’s UK.
Randall Parker Foods (RPF) is a successful meat processor, specialising in lamb, and serves a range of markets from retail to wholesale at home and abroad. Following the sale RPF joins Pilgrim’s UK’s Dalehead Foods division, with all 350 staff, including management, staying in place and guiding the significant investment which the company plans for both its Powys and Andover sites.
Dalehead Foods has supplied customers with lamb for more than 40 years and has worked with RPF for almost 30 years.
Discussing the sale Ron Randall, chairman of Randall Parker Foods said,
"The shareholders of RPF are delighted to be able to confirm the acquisition and are so happy that the future of RPF will be secured and brighter, with the business in the safe hands of a company with the scope and resources of Pilgrim's UK.
For this transaction we used our usual lawyers at Howes Percival in Northampton. They’ve been with us since we started the business and again we were very happy with the commercially focussed and pro-active service that Matt Thompson and his team provided to us”.
Howes Percival partner, Matthew Thompson, commented,
“It was great to have the opportunity to act for Randall Parker Foods again, especially during such a significant time for the company. They emerge from the acquisition in a strong and sustainable position with both jobs and investment secured moving forward”.
