The Private Client team at leading law firm Howes Percival LLP is celebrating success having recently been awarded the Gold Employer Partner accreditation by the global professional body STEP.
Achieving the gold accreditation follows on from securing top tier success in the Legal 500 and a period of rapid growth for the Private Client team over the past three years, which now is on target to nearly double both turnover and team numbers by the end of the current financial year.
Since June of this year, the team has recruited Bhabna Mehmi (Associate), Aislin Price (Paralegal), Molly Yun (Associate) and Ian Raisbury (Tax and Trusts Technician) and further hires have already been agreed for early 2026 in response to a significant increase in demand for estate and succession planning advice.
Tom Lawrence, Howes Percival Partner and Head of Private Client, commented,
The STEP Employer Partnership Programme has been something we have been working towards as a team for some time. Our people are the beating heart of our business and achieving the gold accreditation is a fantastic endorsement and true reflection of the collective effort put in by everyone. As with most other areas of legal advice, the way clients want to connect and engage with private client services is changing. We need to be focused on what clients genuinely value from our services and make sure we deliver strongly in those areas. The gold accreditation allows us to really harness the skills and talents of our people most effectively, which supports not only their own personal growth but also supports the outcomes our clients want to achieve. It is an exciting time for us.
Howes Percival’s Private Client team advises on complex and high value estate and succession planning together with providing advice on Wills, Trusts, Tax, Powers of Attorney and can also act as Independent Administrators for deceased estates.
The Employer Partnership Programme (EPP) is designed to foster strong partnerships with employers and recognise their commitment to developing the professional expertise of their employees. Achieving Gold Employer Partner status is a sign that an organisation goes above and beyond providing practical support for employees and has a focus on developing the professional expertise.
