Laura specialises in construction dispute resolution, acting for contractors, developers, consultants, employers and property owners in complex construction, engineering and infrastructure disputes. She advises on construction adjudication, arbitration, mediation, litigation, expert determination, appeals, dispute avoidance strategies, risk management and the early resolution of construction claims.
Laura is a Solicitor Advocate, International Arbitrator and Deputy District Judge.
As an experienced construction disputes lawyer, Laura represents clients on High Court matters, including the Technology and Construction Court, and has experience of cases involving applications to the Supreme Court. Her experience spans major infrastructure and engineering projects, residential developments, building safety disputes, defective works claims, payment disputes, delay and disruption claims, and professional negligence.
Many of Laura's cases have an international dimension, involving cross-border projects, arbitration and multi-jurisdictional disputes. Her experience includes arbitrations and advisory work regarding the Doha Metro in Qatar, an ammonium nitrate plant in Egypt, a bifacial solar cell production facility in China and the rehabilitation of a railway network in Romania. Domestically, she has advised on disputes involving social housing, cladding and fire-safety defects.
Laura trained at White & Case LLP and is recognised across the industry for her technical expertise in construction law and dispute resolution. The Legal 500 has described Laura as “becoming a real leading light for her dedicated work.”. She speaks English, German, Romanian, Czech and Slovak.
A regular speaker and published author, Laura provides commentary and insight on construction law, arbitration, adjudication and emerging issues affecting the construction sector, including building safety and infrastructure development.

- Visiting Fellow at King’s College London where she also contributed to responses to the Law Commission’s consultations on reforms to the Arbitration Act 1996.
