Leading regional law firm Howes Percival has moved its Northampton office to new, bigger premises on The Rushmills Business Park after more than 30 years based at Oxford House, Cliftonville.
The firm has taken a new 15 year lease on the three storey Nene House, at 4 Rushmills, which has been completely refurbished and configured to Howes Percival’s specification, including the construction of a new atrium to create a larger reception area.
The move is the latest in a series of significant investments by the firm which has seen it move into new offices in Leicester, Milton Keynes and Norwich and opened a brand new office in Cambridge in the last three years. The investment in the new office also reaffirms Howes Percival’s commitment to Northampton and the surrounding area where it has had a presence since 1790.
In total, 65 staff will relocate to Nene House, including the Northampton corporate, property, employment, litigation and private client teams along with the firm’s centralised administrative staff and IT and accounts departments which support the firm’s five other offices across the country.
The new 13,000 sq ft office will give the firm a modern, flexible and open plan working environment with significantly more space including a seminar room that can seat up to 60 guests, a boardroom and four meeting rooms.

In July, Howes Percival’s Northampton team completed one of the largest corporate deals post-Brexit acting for the exiting shareholders of automotive fleet inspection, refurbishment, storage and logistics group Paragon Automotive Limited in its £105 million sale to British Car Auctions. The new Northampton office will give the firm the opportunity to further invest and grow local sector specialisms such as automotive and high performance engineering.
