Howes Percival marks fourth anniversary in Cambridge with party for clients and contacts

22nd October, 2019

Howes Percival celebrated the fourth anniversary of the opening of its Cambridge office, with a party at Downing College. Over 100 clients and contacts joined partners and staff to mark the occasion with an evening of drinks, canapes and music.

Howes Percival entered the Cambridge legal market in early 2015 with a new commercial property team, headed up by Jonathan Greenhalgh. The expansion of the team necessitated a move to new, larger offices in Terrington House, on Hills Road in 2016.

Employment Law Partner, Matthew Potter spoke at the event and honoured Howes Percival’s Steven Beach, who has just been entered into The Legal 500 Hall of Fame. Although other leading individuals are recognised, Steven is the only commercial property practitioner in the Hall of Fame in Cambridge.

Howes Percival’s Cambridge office now provides a full-service legal offering with the commercial property team supplemented by corporate and commercial, employment, insolvency, dispute resolution, regulation and private client services.

Jonathan Greenhalgh, Partner commented;

“In just over four years, we’ve firmly established ourselves in the Cambridge legal market. In the last year, we’ve added to the depth of the services we offer, with specialist hires in construction, conveyancing, estates and agriculture, regulatory and health and safety. Our focus is on providing quality, commercial advice coupled with bespoke personal service – which clients really value. Much of our growth has been down to new instructions from existing clients and recommendations they have made to their colleagues and contacts.

“We were delighted that so many people wanted to join in with our celebration. We feel we are well and truly part of the business community in Cambridge and it is important to thank clients and contacts who’ve supported us over the last four years. The party also gave us the opportunity to introduce some newer members of our team.  Brigitta Naunton (corporate), Rob Starr (regulatory and health and safety), Jonathan Mumby (employment) and Victoria Walley (dispute resolution and insolvency) have all joined recently, taking us to over 35 people in the office now, which is fantastic.”
