Howes Percival has acted on the sale of the aerial survey specialist Bluesky International to US firm Woolpert.
Headquartered in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, Bluesky is the largest aerial survey firm in the United Kingdom and the U.K. government’s supplier of choice for aerial photography and height data. The firm specializes in aerial imaging, lidar, 3D modeling, vegetation, and renewables mapping and has over 130 staff across the U.K., Ireland, the United States, and India.
Woolpert is a global leader in geospatial services. The addition of Bluesky’s fleet of aircraft and sensors, world-class capabilities, and range of innovative data products, further expands Woolpert’s industry leadership position across North America, Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific.
Howes Percival advised Bluesky International and its shareholders on all aspects of the deal with Partner Gareth John leading the Corporate team, which also included Ben Hancox, Chloe Bristow and Chloe Chambers.
Paula Dumbill and Mayoori Ravichandran handled the commercial contracts work, Sam Moore (tax), Georgina McDonald, Sarah Levett and Graham Jones (property), while Hannah Ball and Sobia Ahmed advised on employment law.
